![]() ![]() > I’m used to be the one that complaining about the revival cost some time ago. ![]() So, if you think this is a bad change, address your complain to the cheaters, not the developer. With predetermined and invisible lifespan, one can’t use such a calculator or save file-cheat(like load the game to the previous state when your merc died). Well, the developer decided to use a random lifespan for a mercenaries instead a death chance for each quest to avoid those who use cheats. So, does mercenaries is a crappy patch? Obviously no in my opinion.Īnd to answer your second argument "Even if the death chances are, mathematically speaking, somewhat equal, the mere fact that it’s an invisible thing now is much worse than seeing the death chances or lifespan somewhere. The dev is expecting the players to do MANAGEMENT, which involve calculating the ‘worthiness’ of reviving mercenaries, which become a whole new exploreable area of the game, and it’s NICE! My opinion is reinforced with the fact that the developer even put achievements to bury mercenaries! In my opinion, the dev wouldn’t expect you to spend rubies on level 15+ common merc, because it just doesn’t worth it. Mercenary is an additional feature that is subject for constant replacement, it’s not designed for long term partnership where you could have a merc with level of hundreds. But now, I came to understand that the reason they set the revival cost so high is because it was a part of game design, not because they want the money (obviously, it’s a bad strategy to obtain money if that really their intention) I’m used to be the one that complaining about the revival cost some time ago. Or that they lowered the last bury achievement from 500 to 200, but kept the resurrection one at 500. > And don’t get me started on the resurrection achievements. Not because you took high risks or were impatient and they died as a consequence, but because the game determined they die in 2-3 days, no matter what you do. It also takes away from the mercs as they have become truly disposable now – keep them for 2-3 days, get new ones. > Even if the death chances are, mathematically speaking, somewhat equal, the mere fact that it’s an invisible thing now is much worse than seeing the death chances or lifespan somewhere. ![]() Combined with the level 15/20/25 achievements it gets a even more jarring. But that absurd amount and then he’s not even of a particularly high rank? Um, no. ![]() An almost level 19 merc of mine required around 1500 rubies to resurrect. > The problem is less that mercs can and will die and might have to be resurrected, but rather the absurd costs for resurrecting a higher level and rank merc.
